When we moved here, I thought “because I’m good at marketing, finding a job is not going to be that hard”. God probably laughed a little about how naive I turned out to be. Job hunting is never easy, takes dedication, knowledge and self confidence. Knowing what to wear for your next interview can boost your confidence and that helps a lot. Remember, “Fashion is your armor“, and for what I read and learned: you have 8 seconds to make a first impression, so dress accordingly and prepare yourself, learn about the company, always make eye contact, smile, ask questions, show your skills.
For the startup jobs, this isn’t your regular interview, usually they want to see a creative, hands on person, so you need to be comfy but stylish.
The Creative Job, this is one of my favorites because is a little bit more flexible, but that doesn’t mean you are going to be sloppy, you can show your personality throughout your style.
For the more traditional careers, like law, financial or business, you can always trust in classics, a good pencil skirt, crisp blouse, classic details.
The fashion job: to me this is a tricky one, because I’ll rather show my style with accessories instead of a very out there outfit, showcasing your taste and style, wearing a statement piece of jewellery or your favorite handbag.
